Celebrate the Small Things - Almost there...

Congrats on making it through another week!  Hopefully everyone is doing well.

Today, I'm celebrating the fact that Baby Munchkin made it to 37 weeks, which is considered full term!  That means the chances she will need medical assistance after birth are greatly reduced.  I'm glad we made it this far, even though I have a new understanding of 'uncomfortable.'  Now it's just a waiting game. For various and sundry reasons, my doctor wants to induce my labor a bit early, so we will see if baby girl stays put until then or decides to make an early arrival.  Either way, I'm just trying to rest while I still can.

In other news, we've been having some remodeling done on our home (and don't even get me started on that!).  I'm happy to report the project is finishing up, which means this weekend Mister is going to move all his office and computer stuff into his brand-new man cave!  That will free up some space for us, and hopefully we can get organized BB (before baby). Cross your fingers for us!

Anything exciting going on in your neck of the woods?  Do share!

If you've been reading my blog, you know that Fridays are reserved for a post where I celebrate the little things that have happened during the week. What's next? Killer Season!

November is still a long way away, but I just got the back cover copy for my next book, KILLER SEASON, and I'm really excited to share it with you all!

If you've read my current release, KILLER EXPOSURE, you've already met Nate Gallagher, Owen's partner.  KILLER SEASON, my November release, is Nate's story.  Here's the description:

Blackmail meets desire in this tale of secrets and revenge out West!

When Fiona Sanders is held at gunpoint at her convenience store job, Houston officer Nate Gallagher doesn't hesitate to act the hero. But within days she's targeted again and Nate knows the crimes aren't random. His only option: keep the vulnerable beauty safe while they search for the culprits.

Having lost her own father in the line of duty, Fiona refuses to fall for a cop—no matter how much the drop-dead gorgeous, self-appointed bodyguard tugs at her heartstrings. But as the enemy closes in and the truth about the attacks is revealed, Fiona must learn to trust Nate…or face history repeating itself.

Woo hoo!  I can't wait for you guys to read this one!  It's currently up for pre-order, if you're so inclined :)

Of course, I'll share the cover as soon as I get it.  Stay tuned!

Celebrate the Small Things - Lazy edition

We made it through another week!  Yay!

It's the end of the semester for me.  I turned in my grades yesterday and now I plan to ride off into the sunset.  Well, actually I plan to sleep, but that's kind of the same thing, right?

Now that my schedule has freed up, I have big plans:

Pretty exciting stuff, right? :)

Celebrate the Small Things - Anniversary edition!

Happy Friday everyone!  I hope you've all had a good week.  The time is really flying by now, as I'm busy wrapping up the semester and getting things prepared for my maternity leave at the day job.  Just one more week! Er, not that I'm counting or anything...

This is an exciting weekend for us, as Saturday is our anniversary! We've had so many great things happen over the course of our first year of married life, and I'm looking forward to finding out what the next year has in store for us.  Mister and I had hoped to do something outside to celebrate, but it looks like Mother Nature has other plans in mind--it's supposed to storm here all weekend. That's okay though--we can still eat cake, rain or shine!

Saturday is also the day of my local book signing for KILLER EXPOSURE!  If you're in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, I hope you'll stop by the Barnes & Noble by the Northeast Mall.  I'll be there from 2-4 pm signing print copies of my latest release!

Finally, I've got 3 guest posts (plus giveaways) going on at Get Lost In A Story this weekend--I hope you'll stop by today, tomorrow, and Sunday, and be sure to enter the giveaways on each day!

I hope you all had a great week!  What are you up to this weekend?

Celebrate the Small Things - Book Birthday!

Happy Friday!  This is a special day for me, as my fourth book, KILLER EXPOSURE, hits the digital shelves today!  Whee!  And for those of you who prefer a print book, those copies will come out on Tuesday.

I'm excited to share this one with you, and so happy about the early reviews the book has been getting.  RT Book Reviews gave it 4 stars, and Fresh Fiction gave it a great review as well.  Check out the book description below, and if it sounds like your kind of story, I hope you'll give it a read! :)

Toxic chemicals and instant chemistry in this tale of murder, medicine and combustible attraction!

One minute Hannah Baker is a quiet science professor. The next, a possible murder suspect. Six victims, one per week, all poisoned with the same exotic chemical Hannah once worked with. Now she's wanted by Houston detective Owen Randall—but is it to enlist her help, or arrest her? Owen knows the prim Hannah is hiding something, but he isn't sure she's a killer. Especially after some unfortunate incidents. Is she the next victim of the chemical killer? Torn between duty and his growing feelings, Owen only knows he has less than a week to save her…
